ATO Releases it 2020 Tax Time for Educators Information to assist in planning amide the current COVID-19 pandemic and workplace changes

In response to the ongoing COVID-19 situation the ATO has prepared a range of resources to assist people in the education industry during this difficult period.

As many individual’s working situations may have changed due to the Coronavirus pandemic, it is now more important than ever that teachers understand how to best prepare and lodge their tax returns, to ensure they claim their applicable deductions. The ATO has launched its Tax Time 2020 campaign to help teachers and education professionals understand how to best prepare and lodge their tax returns.
We wish to share these documents and helpful guidelines which will assist educators in preparing their tax returns and outlining what expenses can be claimed in light of current crisis

Enable Independent Reading: Scanning Pens now Available via ACEL Bookshop

New Dates Announced for National Disability & Inclusion Conference 2020

Due to the present COVID-19 International Situation the National Disability and Inclusion Conference previously scheduled for April 30th & May 1st was recently advised to be rescheduled.  ACEL and The QLD Department of Education now wish to confirm that the new dates for this year’s event themed “Every. Student. Every. Day” will now be held on Oct 7 & 8. Current registrants have been communicated with for the new dates and registrations for the new Oct 7&8 Dates are now once again open.
