NSW Branch News

Message from the Branch President, Kylie Lipscombe

I hope those who have had a break from work are feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. I do wish for you all, as we begin Term 2, that you can connect with each other, both in ACEL and beyond, to enjoy your work, and feel supported and appreciated along the way. I wish this for you all as educators, leaders and future leaders, more than ever; you are a priority, you are significant, and you are truly remarkable in what you have already achieved.

The NSW Leadership Awards is now open. I know it can be difficult to find the time to nominate colleagues for awards, however recognising the incredible work of our profession, now more than ever, is critical. And what better way to do this than through a leadership award. The nomination process is quick and easy and our awardees are rewarded with a state-wide award celebration, with individual and group registrations available.

Nominations must be received by Sunday 5 June 2022. Please use the link below to nominate a worthy colleague(s) who deserve to be recognised for their contributions. Click here to nominate.

"Five Ways of Being" workshop presented by Gavin Grift, Jane Danvers and Heather DeBlasio

7 June 2022 - Kambala, 794 New South Head Road
Time: 9:00am – 3.30pm

Learning is our core business and needs to sit at the heart of all we think, say and do as educational leaders. Based on the book, Five Ways of Being, this workshop will help you gain an understanding, agreement and clear articulation of what being a learning leader in an organisation looks, sounds and feels like.

The Five Ways of Being Leadership Workshop supports learning leaders to take charge of their own leadership story, as we help you undertake career-changing self-discovery and give you the practical tools you need.
