The 2021 Disability & Inclusion Conference is proudly presented by The Australian Council for Educational Leaders (ACEL) in partnership with the Department of Education, Queensland.
Featuring experts and leading practitioners in the field of disability and inclusion, the Conference will focus on the ways in which educators can ensure that all students access and engage in learning.
Presentations will explore how system leaders, school leaders and teachers can work together to ensure schools are inclusive environments; how students with disability can contribute to their own learning; and how schools can work effectively with parents, families and the wider community to ensure they are involved in their child’s education.
The Disability & Inclusion Conference offers educational leaders the opportunity to engage with experts and peers and continue the conversation around disability and inclusion so that every student can achieve success at school.
Due to the impact and uncertainty that remains in regards to travel, the Australian Council for Educational Leaders (ACEL) understands that the reach of this year's Disability and Inclusion Conference may not cover all those who wish to attend. We have now added an online registration option so you can still take part in our 2 day event held in Brisbane.

AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM ACEL
It is with immense sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Leonie Jackson on 17 January 2021. Leonie was a passionate advocate for the Deaf community and dedicated much of her life to preserving Deaf culture. She worked extensively in the disability sector in advocacy, teaching, and service delivery roles. Leonie was one of the pioneers of Deaf education and bilingual teaching in Australia, an accomplished presenter, and a dynamic community leader.
Together with our conference partners, the Department of Education Queensland, we extend our deep and sincere sympathies to Leonie’s family, friends and colleagues.
