On 26th October 2018 the Australian Council for Educational Leaders, New England Group and the Australian College of Educators will celebrate world teachers day and present their annual awards in a combined ceremony.

The William Walker Award will be presented to those who, in the judgement of the executive committee of ACEL New England, have provided sustained educational leadership of the highest standards.

The Sister Cath Duxbury Award will be presented to a nominated outstanding emerging educational leader who demonstrates significant potential leadership within their current role.
