Keynote Session
Day 3 — 09.15
Almost everything in the current Australian education landscape points to the need for schools to shift towards more inclusive ways of working. Fortunately, we know a lot from the research about how principles of equity and inclusion can be enacted through evidence-based practices across all levels of a school.
Yet, actually implementing these practices is not straightforward. It represents a significant shift from traditional, comfortable ways of working. It requires bold leadership to challenge the status quo, engage in difficult conversations, understand the scale of change and embrace complexity.
This presentation lays out some of the 'non-negotiables' of inclusive practice, suggests why they are challenging to achieve, and invites leaders to consider their next steps towards education that works for all children and young people.
An engaging three-day event you won't want to miss.
