BRIAN CALDWELL

Brian J. Caldwell is Professor Emeritus at the University of Melbourne where he is a former Dean of Education. He has served as Dean of Education at the University of Tasmania, Deputy Chair of the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER), and Deputy Chair of the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA). He is Managing Director and Principal Consultant at Educational Transformations Pty Ltd. He holds the highest awards of the Australian Council for Educational Leaders (ACEL) (Gold Medal), for whom he is a past president, and the Australian College of Educators (ACE) (College Medal). He has  conducted professional assignments of one kind or another in or for 43 countries. He has authored, co-authored or co-edited 20 books on school education that deal with change, curriculum, futures, finance, leadership, management, policy, strategy and teaching. His most recent book published in April is Reimagining Schools and School Systems.
