About the Scholarships
The New Voice Scholarships are part of ACEL’s significant commitment to recognise the emerging voices in educational leadership. New Voice Scholarships recognise forward thinking, contextually relevant and responsive educational leaders whose work has had an impact above and beyond their immediate context.
Each scholarship aims to welcome recipients into the ACEL network and support their journey by sharing their voices with the education community.
There are four categories of New Voice Scholarship:
- The “New Voice” in School Leadership
- The “New Voice” in Educational Leadership Research
- The “New Indigenous Voice” in Educational Leadership
- The “New Voice” in Early Childhood Education Leadership
Recipients of the ACEL ‘New Voice’ Scholarships will receive:
- Complimentary attendance at the 2024 ACEL National Conference, including tickets to social events.
- Complimentary attendance at the National Awards Ceremony (held during the National Conference)
- Reimbursement of return economy flights to attend the ACEL National Conference, contingent upon location
- 1 Year ACEL Associate membership
- Spotlight on your work in ACEL’s publications
- Public acknowledgement as a New Voice Scholar via ACEL communications and through the National Awards Ceremony to all members and database
Other Features and Benefits:
- Featuring of their work in ACEL’s publications including in the Australian Educational Leader Journal and Perspectives
- Engagement with their local ACEL Branch
- Ongoing acknowledgement as New Voice Alumni in future years
- Featured Direct Mail Announcement of Winners and bios to ACEL Members & Database
- Taking part as a special guest at a branch meeting in your state to talk about your work
- Zoom Q & A with New Voice Scholars open to members and non-members
