ACCESSING THE LIVESTREAM
*Please note the platform can be accessed via Chrome, Safari and Firefox only.
1. Visit acel.org.au/globalconference to access the Conference Portal and log in.
2. Click "Live stream" tab on the left-hand side or the "Live Stream" icon at the Home page to go straight into the next/current live stream.
or
1. Click "Agenda" tab on the left-hand side.
2. Select the session you'd like to watch.
UPDATING YOUR PROFILE
1. Click on the circle in the top right-hand corner (next to the bell icon).
2. Select "My profile" from the menu options.
1. Upload a new image and complete the relevant fields.
2. Click "Save" at the bottom of the page.
ASK A QUESTION TO THE PRESENTER
1. Select "Q&A" in the session (it's box on the right if you're on desktop or scroll down if you're on phone).
2. Type in your question and select submit.
3. "Like" a question using the thumbs-up icon to show your interest.
HOW TO MAKE NOTES AND EMAIL TO YOURSELF
1. On a session, click "Notes" at the top right and start writing.
2. Hit "Save" once you're done.
3. Click the "Email" button to email note to yourself or create new notes.
HOW TO INTERACT WITH 'CHAT' DURING A SESSION
1. On a session, click "Chat" at the top left.
2. Send messages to communicate with other audience members.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Check that you have enabled pop-ups in your browser.
This means you won't miss a notification asking whether you want to resize your video into a smaller window. This allows you to keep viewing and listening while engaging with other functionality such as asking questions in Q&A or connecting with fellow participants.
The livestream stops and I see the spinner.
Fluctuations in your internet connection can pause the live stream to buffer. Don't worry. The live stream will continue as soon as your device gets a more stable connection. The live stream should auto start.
I have refreshed the live stream, but the video player keeps spinning.
There might be several factors that may affect the buffering, such as:
1. The number of devices connected to your wi-fi network.
2. The speed of your internet. Again, it is ideal to have at least 5mbps. Check your internet speed using speedtest.net. You need at least 5mbps to get the full experience.
3. Your distance from the router. Try using your device near the wi-fi router.
