Implementation of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme followed by a successful Evaluation report from the IB and a positive Education Department Review. Developing a whole school commitment to the IB program has involved a wide range of leadership skills including; staffing, professional learning, facilities development, community education and budgeting decisions around effective teaching and learning within the parameters of the program. I have also ensured that our school continues to function as a high performing school within the Victorian Education Department expectations. Student engagement, parent satisfaction and student achievement have all shown significant gains from the Implementation of a coordinated approach to learning. The school now has a strong staff and community buy-in for the IB Primary Years Programme and our classrooms are active learning environments where students have a significant input to their learning.
