Bio
Julia is currently Senior Teacher at Driver Primary in the Northern Territory. She is passionate about promoting student driven, collaborative teaching and learning experiences which integrate a variety of technology.

Julia is currently working on a project based on Sugata Mitra’s principles of Self-Organised Learning Environments (SOLE) in which students work in small groups with internet access to answer ‘Big Questions’ and solve real community problems. Her SOLE classroom aims to enhance and grow STEM teaching approaches across Driver Primary to support student’s development of future work skills through co-operative and connected online experiences within the wider community.

Additionally, Julia is completing a ‘Leading Teaching Certification in STEM’ through Charles Darwin Centre for School Leadership. Experience in this program has culminated in a research report, which will contribute to the development of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) in the Northern Territory.
