To kick the year off in the Canberra, ACEL ACT is again hosting the annual ‘Breakfast Panel’ to welcome in the new school year. This year marks the third year of the breakfast panel where members and guests can hear from our system leaders in the ACT, as they share their vision for education:

• Katy Haire, the Director General of Education, ACT
• Ross Fox, Director, Catholic Education, Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn
• Andrew Wrigley, Director, Association of Independent Schools, ACT.

Katy, Ross, and Andrew will be discussing their thoughts around the rare opportunity the COVID-19 pandemic presents to deliver compelling and lasting change for the education sector:

• What could this change look like?
• How can we draw on the lessons learnt from 2020 in improving student outcomes in 2021?
• How do we capitalise on the pivotal role that teachers and middle leaders played in guiding and supporting student learning during the pandemic?
