Leading [E]Quality in Education: The 2019 National Disability Leadership Summit Is proudly presented by The Australian Council for Educational Leaders and NSW Government. Held over two days, Sept 9 & 10 in the Sydney Masonic Centre the Summit will bring together leaders from across Australia and New Zealand and will focus on the importance for educational leaders to adopt a whole school approach to ensure quality education is delivered to all.

MICHAEL MILTON
Michael Milton is one of Australia's best-known athletes. His four-gold-medal haul at the Salt Lake Winter Paralympic Games endeared him to a sport-loving nation and earned him the title of Laureus World Sportsperson of the Year with a Disability.

In April 2003 Michael tried something new: speed skiing, the drag racing of alpine sport. On the steepest slope in the world he clocked over 193km/hr, smashing a 16-year-old world record and becoming the fastest skier with a disability.

Every year after that he bettered his own world record until, in April 2006, he clocked a staggering 213.65km/hr to also become the fastest Australian skier ever.

HON. SARAH MITCHELL, MLCN
Since entering parliament in 2011, Sarah has served on numerous committees and as Parliamentary Secretary for Regional and Rural Health and Western NSW. In 2017 she was appointed the Minister for Early Childhood Education, Minister for Aboriginal Affairs and Assistant Minister for Education.

Sarah was born and raised in Gunnedah and has spent most of her life living in North-West New South Wales. She continues to live in Gunnedah with her husband Anthony and their daughters Annabelle and Matilda.

This summit brings together practitioners, experts and researchers in the field of leadership, wellbeing, differentiated curriculum, NDIS, and the disability sector. The National Disability Leadership Summit offers educational leaders the opportunity to come together to discuss the outcomes and experiences in disability and inclusive education and walk away with the collaborative opportunity on how to best create a platform for every student to achieve to their potential within our education system.

The Australian Council for Educational Leaders and NSW Government invite all leaders and practitioners in the field of disability and inclusive education to Save the Date of September 9-10 2019 and join leaders, colleagues and experts for this important and premier summit to address [E]Quality in Education.

NESA ACCREDITED
The National Disability Leadership Summit will contribute 9 hours and 45 minutes of NESA Registered PD addressing 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
