In this workshop, participants will examine the key behaviours and practices school leaders can implement to enhance team engagement and increase the success of an innovation strategy. Participants will gain an understanding of why team retention should be framed as a strategic issue for a school. Participants will be exposed to a framework that both diagnoses the causes of low team engagement and performance and identifies a set of prescriptive approaches for correcting these issues.

The one day program will focus on the following issues:

• The relationship between team engagement and school performance
• Effective drivers of team engagement
• Enhancing engagement across a diverse team
• The use of non-financial tools to enhance team engagement

Completing Engaging the Team: The Key to Executing an Innovation Strategy course will contribute 6 hours of NESA Registered PD addressing 6.2.3 and 6.3.3 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient or Highly Accomplished Accreditation in NSW.
