Central to the success of the Curiosity and Powerful Learning program is the ongoing support, between the regular learning workshops, provided by Consultant Leaders. As the program continues to expand, ACEL is systematically increasing the pool of Consultant Leaders, all of whom will be accredited by ACEL. The Consultant Leaders program consists of an initial one-day workshop followed by an annual one day conference / workshop.

 The outcomes of the program for Consultant Leaders are:

• An introduction to the key concepts underpinning the Curiosity and Powerful Learning program, with a particular emphasis on the moral purpose of enabling every student to reach their potential where ever that may lead.
• A deeper understanding of the links between policy implementation and practice on the one hand and school leadership and student learning on the other.
• An induction into the use of the Facilitators Guide materials to enable them to support schools through the various phases of the program.
• An understanding of how to adapt the Curiosity and Powerful Learning program to meet the individual context of the school and the policy framework within which schools operate.
• The ability to empower Principals and School Improvement Teams to lead professional and student learning within their schools and networks, in the short, medium and long term.
• A knowledge of the organisational architecture that enables sustainability, in particular the exchange of learning resources, strategies and exemplars of best practice within and between schools and networks. To support this the ACEL Learning Platform provides an on-going and dynamic resource to support continuous learning and school improvement.
