NSW: Middle Leading in Schools
ACEL NSW and the University of Wollongong are pleased to invite you to a complimentary seminar facilitated by Professor Peter Grootenboer from Griffith University focussed on middle leadership in schools.
Seminar Overview: The prime site of education is the classroom because this is where actual students and teachers meet around the curriculum. This means that any educational reform needs to begin and focus on the classroom. Therefore, leading this sort of educational development is best done by those close to the classroom - middle leaders. Middle leaders are those with an acknowledged leadership position and a substantial teaching responsibility. In this presentation we will focus on the leading practices of middle leaders, and how they can facilitate and drive professional and curriculum development in their school sites. All educators are welcome to attend although the seminar is particularly useful for aspiring leaders, middle leaders and executive leaders in schools.
