Ms Berry is the Deputy Chief Minister of the Australian Capital Territory (ACT). She is also Minister for Education and Early Childhood Development, Minister for Women, Minister for the Prevention of Domestic and Family Violence, Minister for Housing and Suburban Development, and Minister for Sport and Recreation. Ms Berry has been a Member of the Legislative Assembly of the ACT since 2012 and was appointed to the ministry in 2015.
Prior to her election to the Legislative Assembly, Ms Berry was a community organiser for the United Voice trade union for more than 15 years, representing workers and their families to win fairer wages and better work conditions. She has two children and is a passionate advocate for her local community in Canberra.
