The 2019 ACEL National Conference in Sydney will provide a platform for international and national speakers to share their expertise in highlighting the importance of both “Vision and Voice” in Setting the Learning Agenda.

2nd - 4th October, Hilton Sydney

The Australian Council for Educational Leaders are proud to announce the return of The Australian Showcase to National Conference 2019. The Australian Showcase will be held as part of our opening day’s agenda and it is with great pleasure that we announce the first of our esteemed Australian leaders with Janet Clinton, Erica McWilliams and Dr John Halsey joining this year’s line-up. The Australian Showcase plays the crucial role of spotlighting local educational leadership practices, experience and results on both a metro and regional level and has quickly cemented itself as one of the conference highlights. We welcome our keynote speakers and extend our invitation to all educational leaders to join us in October and experience Australian Showcase 2019.

About the Conference

Educational leaders have the privilege of setting the moral purpose, expectations, culture, as well as learning and teaching practices within their organisations. They strive to develop future-focussed cultures, reflect on their practices, engage in professional learning, and influence student learning.

The 2019 ACEL National Conference in Sydney will provide a platform for international and national speakers to share their expertise in highlighting the importance of both “Vision and Voice” in Setting the Learning Agenda.

Effective leadership, collaborative engagement, accessing student and staff voice, and developing deep learning practices are some of the topics our renowned keynote and concurrent speakers will explore over the three days. These presentations will be complemented by panel discussions, student performances, book signings and several opportunities to network with professional colleagues from across the country and beyond.
