Educational Leaders discuss National Curriculum Review QLD

The Australian Council for Educational Leaders- Queensland branch will discuss and debate the Commonwealth Review of the National Curriculum on Wednesday 5th November at 5pm at Kelvin Grove State College.

Panel members include Kevan O’Sullivan, CEO, P&Cs QLD, Professor Claire Wyatt-Smith, Executive Dean, Australian Catholic University, Mary Neville, Director, Curriculum into the classroom project, DETE, Andrew Hawke, Prinicipal, Clifford Park Special School, Michael Fahey, President, QLD Primary Principal’s Association and Holly O’Sullivan, Teacher, Hillbrook Anglican School.

Educational experts will gather for a question and answer forum to discuss the review recommendations and their implication for education in Australia.

“The Review is an important document for educators and highlights the direction of Commonwealth policy in Education.

It is important that all educators are aware of the content of the report and the implications of the review recommendations,” said Peter Hayes, Director of Education, ACEL National Office.

The review, conducted by Professor Ken Wiltshire and Dr Kevin Donnelly was released in October 2014.
