Programs and Publications Manager

Meg Clarke

Meg is the Programs and Publications Manager for ACEL and is responsible for the day to day management of the portfolio of professional development programs, seminars and resources. She also has overall responsibility for the production and distribution of ACEL journals and publications, working with editorial teams and contributors.

Meg is an experienced and passionate educator with over 20 years working in education in a wide range of contexts. She was employed in a program management role for three years at the Centre for School Leadership in the Northern Territory, which included supporting the facilitation of leadership programs by external agencies as well as implementing programs for school leaders. Meg enjoyed working closely with all sectors of education in the Northern Territory and hopes to continue this on a national level through her work at ACEL.

Finance Manager

Jane Lowman

Jane is responsible for all aspects of financial management of ACEL. She works in conjunction with Branches, members, the Board and the office team to ensure the company is running efficiently and effectively from a financial perspective.

Prior to her role with ACEL Jane was an administration officer, office manager and accounts payable clerk for various companies. She gained an incredible amount of knowledge and skills from more than a decade of experience in office administration and applies this daily to her role as the ACEL Finance Officer.

Marketing Manager

Kara Vassallo

Kara has over ten years’ experience and extensive knowledge of events and marketing. She has created and implemented strategic marketing strategies in a variety of contexts and enjoys working in a results driven environment. Prior to joining ACEL, Kara was employed with ARIA as an Event Producer at the Sydney Opera House and before that she was responsible for Marketing at the Queensland Law Society.

Kara has a Bachelors Degree in Marketing and Advertising and a Diploma in Communication & Media, majoring in journalism and event management.

Programs and Publications Consultant

Swathi Vishnumahanti

Swathi is responsible for the smooth running of the ACEL Leadership Academy, the ACEL Online Bookshop, and the editorial and production of ACEL’s Journals and Publications.

Swathi holds a Masters in Educational Management and Postgraduate Diploma in Education both from University of Western Australia and has worked as a Research Associate at the National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore, before joining ACEL. She is one of the co-authors for book chapters and academic articles that are being published together with her professors at NIE. Prior to this, she also worked as a high school Teacher in Perth teaching ICT and Career Education.

Membership Officer

Ashley Moujalli

Ashley is responsible for the administration of ACEL membership. Ashley works closely with ACEL Branches and the office team to provide the high level of service that ACEL members have come to expect.

Ashley has studied a Bachelor of Arts at Macquarie University and has spent the past 6 years expanding her skill set in administration in both private and not-for-profit sectors.

Events and Sponsorship Coordinator

Heather Porter

Heather is responsible for providing program support to the state branch executives, handling sponsorship proposals for the annual conference and coordinating all ACEL seminars, award dinners and networking events across Australia.

Heather has studied Diplomas in Event Management and Tourism and prior to her role at ACEL she was coordinating and executing weddings, conferences, corporate events and leisure events.

Graphic Design & Communications Coordinator

Nalaka Perera

Nalaka is in charge of creating the visual identity of ACEL. It is important that the look and feel of the organisation maintains a professional and modern presence.

He started out as a freelance designer and photographer while studying a Diploma in Digital Media and a Bachelor in Visual Communications in Sydney.  Here at ACEL, his design role involves working on promotional material, digital/web design and print design. Outside of design, Nalaka is also responsible for running IT solutions and technical support around the office.

Administration Officer & Executive Assistant to the CEO

James Reynolds

Providing smooth and concise events administration,  James works closely with ACEL branches, members and office staff to assist in the successful delivery of regional and national events and conferences.

James has recently studied a Bachelor of Arts in Communications at UTS and looks forward to investing himself to further develop his professional skills with ACEL.

Program Coodinator

Nadia Elkholy

Nadia is the Program Coordinator at ACEL and ensures the smooth running of all ACEL programs by coordinating all logistics. She also provides logistical support for the online Bookshop and all ACEL Publications. Having previously worked in health in the Not-For-Profit sector, she is a passionate and driven professional who is keen to grow and develop her stakeholder engagement skills at ACEL through her role as the Programs Coordinator.

Nadia graduated with a Bachelor of Social Science, and a major in Development Studies and Culture Change from Macquarie university. She is passionate about education, and endeavours to develop within the sector through her role.

Finance Analyst

Sandra Blicharski

Sandra is the Finance Analyst for ACEL and is responsible for budget preparation and analysis, as well as general financial support.

Sandra is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has a double degree in Business and Arts, majoring in Accounting and Economics.

Sandra has experience in auditing firms in a range of industries, including the education sector, through her time working in audit and assurance services at large accounting firms. She has also experience working in financial departments for local government councils.
