Student Research Done Right! :
A Teacher’s Guide for High School and College Classes

Lisa Scherff, Leslie S. Rush

Conducting research and reporting the results are at the heart of academic work, yet many teachers hesitate to incorporate student research projects into their curriculum because they’re unsure of how or where to begin. In Student Research Done Right! Lisa Scherff and Leslie S. Rush make the case that all high school and college students, not just those in advanced classes, should and can conduct research as a way to strengthen their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. Research also has great potential for increasing students’ engagement with learning, as they choose research topics that resonate with their own curiosity, interests, and backgrounds.

Whether you have an entire year to help students perfect an ambitious project or you simply want to introduce basic research skills to your class, Student Research Done Right! A Teachers’ Guide for High School and College Classes shows you the way.
