Becoming a Growth Mindset School Chris Hildrew
Becoming a Growth Mindset School explores the theories which underpin a growth mindset ethos and lays out how to embed them into the culture of a school. The book isn't about quick fixes or miracle cures, but an evidence-based transformation of the way we think and talk about teaching, leading, and learning.
Step-by-step guidance for school leaders will help to build an approach to teaching and learning that will encourage children to embrace challenge, persist in the face of setback, and see effort as the path to mastery.

AEL - Issue 3
Call for submissions are now open for the Australian Educational Leader Issue 3, 2018. We look forward to receiving your inspiring stories of and insight in research, policy and practice.
Last month, we celebrated the launch of the first AEL issue for 2018, ‘Leading Sustainable Change’. We have received thoughtful comments and recommendations in the new ‘In Context’ section, which we encourage you to have a look at.
Here is one of our favourites by Daisy Turnbull Brown who proposes that: ‘Promoting resilience in the classroom can seem terrifying but starting early and giving students the tools to improve after failure is fundamental to long term success.’ We invite you to join in this conversation. How important is resilience as a skill in the 21st Century, and what other skills do you think students should hone?
Submit your thoughts and suggestions at the AEL homepage.
