New Voice Perspectives – Changing the Structure

The 2016 New Voice Scholarship awardees are contributing to a special series of the ACEL Perspectives publication on the theme If you were able to transform education (given a metaphorical magic wand), what would you do? These were devised for the winners of the 2016 ACEL New Voice Scholarships to share their passion and ideas. New Voice Scholars Perspectives No. 1 2016 published on 19 August focuses on the theme of Changing the Structure of Schools.

Aasha Murthy, ACEL CEO, comments “The New Voice Scholarship is a fabulous opportunity for skilled and motivated educators to be recognised by their peers. ACEL is committed to giving-back to the profession, through the provision of world-class learning opportunities for up-and-coming leaders, and we are thrilled to welcome the 2016 Scholarship winners into the ACEL network.”

Authors and scholars featured in the New Voice Scholars Perspectives No. 1 are: Laura Searle (Glenelg Primary School, SA), Aaron McKinnon (Scoresby Secondary College, Vic), Paula Taylor (St Clare’s College, ACT) and Geoffrey Gates (The Hills Grammar School, NSW). Each of the authors identified areas in the current school structure they would like to change, if they could.

ACEL invites you to engage the current and future issues of New Voice Scholars Perspectives, featuring the passion and ideas of the ACEL New Voice Scholars.
