Two leading professional learning organisations announce an important expansion of their current partnership that will enhance educators’ leadership capacity through more high quality professional learning experiences. The expanded partnership will provide increased options for educators, including professional development series in Literacy, Assessment, and Student and Principal Voice, as well as an ACEL/Corwin bookstore and a selection of online learning modules.

ACEL (Australian Council for Educational Leaders), the country’s most respected provider of professional learning in the education sector, and Corwin, professional developer and exclusive provider of the Visible Learningplus model of professional learning in Australia, first partnered to deliver Visible Learningplus symposiums in October 2015.

In 2015 and 2016, ACEL and Corwin co-hosted eight sold out symposiums enabling thousands of educators to learn more about the Visible Learning research, the world’s largest evidence base on what works in K-12 education, developed by Professor John Hattie of the University of Melbourne. ACEL and Corwin will continue to co-host Visible Learningplus Symposium, with the next event occurring on 24th November in Fremantle, WA.

Over the next few months, ACEL and Corwin will be releasing more information about the new initiatives they are launching together.

“ACEL are very excited to expand our partnership with Corwin,” said Aasha Murthy, ACEL Chief Executive Officer. “We are looking forward to continuing to develop and deliver high quality professional learning to educators.”

“ACEL is a forward-thinking, highly regarded organisation, and like Corwin, is dedicated to providing best in class professional learning experiences. Together, we are able to reach more educators and provide more professional learning opportunities that will make a significant impact on teaching and educational leadership throughout Australia,” said Mike Soules, President of Corwin.

ACEL is a not-for-profit organization and a 21st Century learning organization with over 6500 members who are educational leaders actively connecting and participating in regular professional learning opportunities. www.acel.org.au
