Bio
Andrew Cornwall is an Education Officer (Learning Technology) at the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle. In this role, he works with a small team to lead technology for teaching, learning, and school operation for the 56 schools of the diocese. This role includes strategy and policy, teacher professional development and learning, and project management.  Andrew has also worked extensively with inter-diocese and cross-sector working groups and advisory panels. He has presented at numerous conferences and events, including the opportunity to provide the technology in education presentation at the NSW Education Symposium late in 2016.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of Sydney, Masters in both Educational Leadership and Religious Education from Australian Catholic University, and a Post Graduate Certificate in Careers Education from RMIT. He is currently in discussions to commence a Master of Research based on work he has done on teachers and technology. In 2014, he became the first person in the diocese to complete national certification as a Highly Accomplished Teacher and in 2016 applied to commence certification toward Lead Teacher.

Andrew is passionate about redefining the relationship between teachers and technology, and the realisation of the full potential of technology to improve student outcomes.
