CALL FOR PAPERS

The Australian Council for Educational Leaders invites interested individuals, pairs, or small groups, to submit an application to present a session at the ACEL National Disability and Inclusion Conference 2020. The theme for the conference is “Every student. Every Day”.

All sessions will:

  • Engage with at least one of the key themes of Curriculum and Learning, Wellbeing and Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Address leadership themes from the Australian Professional Standards for Principals
  • Demonstrate developments and/or innovations in the field of Leadership in Education
  • Be highly engaging.

Delegates have an opportunity to present at this conference in the following style:

  • 40 minutes presentation + 10 minutes Q&A.
  • Can be presented by individuals, pairs or trios.
  • Participants may be seated in rows.

Identify which standards are relevant to your presentation:

  • Leading Teaching & Learning - Critically examine the research evidence linking quality teaching with student outcomes within the context of contemporary educational theory, policy and practice.
  • Developing Self and Others -  Focus on continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
  • Leading Improvement, Innovation & Change - Improvement, innovation and change to ensure education prepares students for the future.
  • Engaging and Working with the Community - Working with families, carers, education systems and sectors to build capacity and improve wellbeing to produce just and sustainable student outcomes.
  • Leading the Management of the School - Enhance leadership capabilities to effectively manage and lead schools.

Abstract / Requirements:

  • Please indicate within the body of the abstract how the presentation or workshops will engage the learning process (Learn, Reflect & Apply). The purpose of the presentations is to draw on evidence of impact and to share key elements that ensured strong focus. (Maximum of 160 words)
  • Identify how you will be engaging
  • Please note that in each room there is a data projector, laptop and lectern with microphone. Extra technology can be arranged at presenters’ costs. Please specify any other additional equipment needs
