Leading by Learning

When principals and school leaders are the leading learners in the building, school culture transforms. When school leaders understand formative assessment themselves, and when they look at what students are doing in classrooms – not just what teachers are doing – they are able to support the kind of formative assessment that moves student achievement forward. This kind of leadership builds a learning culture in a school and is formative for all the actors: students, teachers, and leaders. This keynote will help participants become leading learners in their own schools.
